Summary: The following article points out the massive amount of data that is collected on us daily by all sorts of different companies. These companies sometimes sell this data, and other times the data gets hacked. It pointed out several situations of how data getting leaked is harmful. The article is proposing that is not how it has to be. We could rebuild our internet to be more private, and fight for stricter data laws. It then dives into the specific data laws that are in place. As data scientists, it is our responsibility to ask questions on where companies are getting their data from.
