Summary: The following article focuses on why there are ethical boundaries needed when building robotic assistants in this article. Developers of the artificial intelligence (AI) for these scenarios must build and train their creations to always operate in alignment with the intentions and interests of the responsible parties. To verify human accountability, there needs to be transparency regarding the data, features, and models that are used by the AI for taking the right action. There needs to be a strong reason to take into consideration the gender and race of the customer interacting with the AI before building the models. Using highly personalized (though masked) information about the users is increasingly important to avoid potential damage (both physical and psychological) in the future.
