Summary: The following article discusses how bias is very much prevalent in today’s artificial intelligence (AI)-systems shown through many examples. When searching for school in a search system the results often show women in promiscuous outfits, skinny, and white. However, when searching for school boy, the pictures are perfectly ordinary. There was another example of AI creating art which had some repercussions for ethical concerns. How can AI be copyrighted to be denoted as an author of a piece of art? Another field that has ethical concerns for AI is the judicial system where AI is used to potentially increase the accuracy of a jury but there are many circumstances where the system could potentially be biased.
