Summary: The following article discusses how as individual data becomes more exploited by companies in the name of profit and advancement of humanity, Jorgensen looks at studies that attempt to study the status of ethical frameworks around the world. The closest thing the world has to a global standard is “transparency;” however there was no one issue present in all 84 countries studied. The European Union and the U.S. leads the way in frame working while South America and Africa do not have formalized systems of ethics for data.
