Summary: The following article discusses how while moving through the lifecycle of a project, user-centered design is (and should be) an important consideration at every stage. The author says that data ethics should be considered in a similar way as user-centered design. The prevalence of data ethics concerns is increasing across both private and public sectors as we become more aware of how our personal data is being collected, stored, and used. Data ethics frameworks can help fill in the gaps and guide the conversations that should be taking place from the very start of a project.
