Summary: The following video discusses how AI and machine learning raise many serious ethical concerns regards many areas and some of those algorithms’ biases manipulate or reinforce discrimination by automatically disqualifying women or rating certain minorities as high-risk. But there is no clear answer or solution on how to deal with these questions and how to evaluate the trade-offs and make the right decisions. The speaker talks and provides possible solutions in this video, while further evaluating what is ethics washing and what is ethics policing. In the video, Cansu mentioned what google does in the maven project, which they cooperate with the government to use for a lethal outcome, is ethic washing which is just using ethical language and pretending they are doing ethics to avoid ethics policing.
