Summary: The article discusses the benefits and possible complications of using machine learning in dental research and dental practice. One of the benefits is that it will make care solutions more financially accessible to patients. A complication is that machine learning in the dental industry lacks standards in their development. I think that point in particular is interesting because it makes me wonder if other machine learning capabilities in other industries are standardized or regulated. If not, like the dental industry, will this cause the same type of discontinuity and potential misdiagnosis.
