There are many rules that are encompassed within a society’s legal framework, such as respecting another’s property and refraining from violence. However, there are activities not covered within a society’s laws, meaning that not all unethical behavior is illegal. It is important to develop a code of ethics for individuals to recognize and refer to when an unethical situation arises. AI requires large volumes of data to train algorithms for optimal functioning, and it is important that the training data is ethically clean and free from bias.
