Summary: The following article emphasizes the importance of not grouping Asian communities into one monolith. Especially in the health care field, Asian communities tend to have varying health concerns, an example is how there is a higher incidence of gastric cancer for Chinese and Japanese men. But the nuances are not captured because research tends to combine Asian groups together because they fail to see the value in individualizing Asian groups.
