Summary: The following article discusses the growth of the blockchain technology and its potential impact of security and privacy of technology users. It is highlighted that the intent of the blockchain is security and privacy through anonymity. However the practice of propertization of private data threatens to undermine the the security and privacy that could exist if the blockchain were free and equally available to all in equal capacities.
