Summary: The following article discusses the current public opinion of ethics in artificial intelligence (AI) and where we’re headed. They conducted a survey in 2021 which had 602 respondents including tech developers, business executives, policy leaders, and researchers. Each of their opinions about AI in regards to ethical concerns (human autonomy, data privacy and transparency, sustainability, etc.) and their predictions for the future are detailed in this article, including how “68% said they expect that ethical principles focused primarily on the public good will not be employed in most AI systems by 2030.”
